Weekly working hours: avg. 32h per week
Start Date/End Date: June 1- 30th until September 7th
Conditions:
- Advanced to Proficient English level is required.
- Must be able to start working according to DS start dates.
- Bartender: Mixing and serving drinks to restaurant and customer standards. This position requires strong multitasking skills as you will be simultaneously making drinks, answering customer questions, handling payments, washing and stocking glassware, keeping the bar area clean, taking note of inventory, checking IDs, and ensuring compliance with Maine alcohol laws, all in a fast-paced environment. You will need to wipe down the bar counter regularly, sweep and mop the floor,s and take out the trash, as necessary. Depending on business needs, you may be asked to help the front-of-house staff, as well / $17,00 per hour
- Kitchen Help: Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic. Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately. Sorting, storing, and distributing ingredients. Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare dishes as needed. Disposing of trash, Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen tools or areas. Other tasks may be assigned by management as needed. Based on business needs and individual skill sets, you may be assigned to one area of the kitchen or rotate through multiple areas / $16,00 per hour
- Dishwasher: Washing, sanitizing, and storing dishes, utensils, and cookware. You will be expected to keep the dish pit and kitchen area clean and organized, take out trash, sweep and mop floors. Other tasks may be assigned by management as needed. Your primary role will be dishwasher; however, based on business needs and individual skill sets, you may have the opportunity to assist in other areas of the kitchen. / $15,50 per hour
- Paid hourly training. Please note, hours may be less than 32 weekly during the initial training period.
- Lunch and dinner meals are offered at a highly discounted rate for all team members.
- The uniform cost is $250 taken out over 3 weeks from payroll. Participants are required to bring non-slip black shoes.
Housing and Transportation:
- Housing is assisted by the employer at a cost of $130.00 per student, per week. A deposit fee of $100 is required. Please arrive at the housing prepared to pay your deposit and first week’s rent. The housing deposit is a $100 non-refundable cleaning fee.
- Housing is next door to the restaurant.
