ACME Markets began in 1891 when two friends opened a small neighborhood grocery store. Over 125 years later, ACME remains dedicated to providing the high-quality grocery experience that our customers have come to expect. Today, ACME Markets operates numerous stores throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland.

Weekly working hours: avg. 32h per week

Start Date/End Date: June 1- 22nd  until  September 7th

Conditions: 

• Upper-Intermediate to Advanced English.
• Must be able to start working according to DS start dates.
• Meat, Deli, Seafood Associate: work in a busy deli department providing direct service to customers. Prepare hot and cold food items such as fried foods, soups, salads, and sandwiches. This includes operating deli equipment such as hot oil fryers. You must follow food safety rules, use protective equipment, and pay close attention when working with hot oil and sharp tools. Daily tasks also include stocking and organizing deli cases, rotating products, checking dates, and keeping displays clean and attractive. You will wash dishes, clean counters, cases, shelves, and floors, remove trash, and help keep the work area safe and sanitary. You will also assist with basic inventory by restocking supplies and moving heavy boxes or bulk products from storage areas to the sales floor / $19.00 per hour
• Team Member: The employer will place you in a department such as grocery, produce, bakery, or front end. This decision is made by the employer and is based on your English level, your personality, and the store’s business needs. Assisting customers, bagging items, scanning, and handling payments. Preparing, packaging, and labeling produce, salads, baked goods, or other ready-to-eat items. Stocking shelves, rotating products, and organizing displays to maintain quality and freshness. Performing repetitive motions such as lifting, bending, reaching, and scanning. Handling raw and cooked meat products, including pork. Moving and lifting heavy boxes, unloading deliveries, and organizing the stockroom. Cleaning aisles, workstations, and equipment to maintain safety standards. Collecting carts outside, sometimes in hot and humid weather/ $17.00 per hour
• Paid hourly training.
• Employees may be subject to pre-employment, random, reasonable cause, and/or post-accident drug testing.
• Participants will receive company-issued uniform shirts as part of their employment. Please bring long black trousers or black jeans (not faded). Yoga pants, leggings, or stretch pants are not permitted—shoes: Closed-toed, black, slip-resistant athletic shoes.
