Virginia Beach, a coastal city in southeastern Virginia, lies where the Chesapeake Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. A 3-mile boardwalk stretches along its beach-lined oceanfront. The bayside First Landing State Park marks the 1607 arrival of the Jamestown colonists from England. The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center exhibits ocean life, including sharks, ray,s and sea turtles in globally themed habitats.
Weekly working hours: average 32 per week
Start Date/End Date: June 1st- July 15th, until September 1st-30th
Conditions:
- Advanced English is required.
- Must be able to start working according to the DS dates.
- Host: Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously. Manage reservations, waitlists, and table rotations. Answer phones and assist with inquiries or reservations. Provide menus and introduce the assigned server. Keep the host stand, entrance, dining areas, and menus clean and organized. Conduct restroom checks and assist with light cleaning/restocking. Assist staff by resetting tables, running food, or helping during peak times. Address guest concerns politely and notify management as needed. Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and management.
- Training is provided by the employer at an hourly wage.
- The employer will provide a uniform. Please bring black pants, a black shirt, and non-slip shoes.
Housing and Transportation:
- Must arrange own, leads will be given.
- Typical transportation for the area is walking or biking.
