Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island and Garden City are cities and vacation resorts on South Carolina’s Atlantic coast, they are the hub of the Grand Strand, a 60-mile string of beaches. It’s also known for its celebrity-designed golf courses. Along its beachfront boardwalk are arcades, souvenir stands and restaurants, as well as the old-fashioned Family Kingdom amusement park and the SkyWheel, one of the country’s tallest Ferris wheels. Eagles/Bargain will host Beach party, All American BBQ/Cook Out, CCU Tours, scavenger hunts and game nights.

Weekly working hours:  avg. 32 per week

Start Date/End Date: June 1st – June 15th until September  15th 

• Advanced English;
• Retail Store Associate: Requirements: Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. Proficient in verbal and written English language. Knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements. Solid communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management. Telephone etiquette. Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision. Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, on your feet for the majority of your shift, and can be physically demanding. **This is not the location you will be working at. Once you get closer to your program, your assigned location will be shared with you. Individual responsibilities as a Retail Store Associate may include demonstrating outstanding customer service and keeping the selling floor stocked with merchandise, assisting in the display of merchandise or organizing the selling floor and stock areas. Other duties include maintaining the cleanliness of the store and restrooms, dusting, vacuuming, picking up trash, cashiering, and dressing room attendants/ $12.00 per hour
• Training is required;
• Must provide own work-appropriate attire. 3 t-shirts will be provided by Host Company, any shirts needed after, the employee is required to buy. Your work shirt must be visible to customers at all times, so you may wear a long-sleeve shirt under it if you are cold.

Housing and Transportation:

• Housing by the employer (dormitory style) at  a cost of $140 per week, per person. $250.00 deposit $50.00 of the $250.00 deposit is non-refundable. The $50.00 will go towards your start-up kit. The start-up kit will include sheets blankets, pillows, pillowcases, and other miscellaneous fees and household cleaning products. As long as you don’t damage the housing, or break the lease or rules, your deposit will be refunded to you at the end of your contract with your Host Company;
• Typical transportation for the area is walking or biking.
