San Francisco has been a well-known tourist destination for decades. The city is abundant with restaurants, tours, museums, shops, and historical attractions. There are an endless array of activities to choose from such as a tour of the legendary penitentiary of Alcatraz, sample Dungeness crab in a local bistro, drive through a gargantuan Redwood tree, or ride the cable cars for a panoramic view of the city. You will be located near many historical and cultural spots, such as Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Maritime Museum and more! Through your work training, you will learn about the history and culture of the San Fransisco area.

Blazing Saddles is a popular bike rental company located in the heart of San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf, one of the city’s most famous and scenic areas. This is a fun, fast-paced, and active job—perfect for those who enjoy being outdoors and engaging with people. You’ll meet visitors from around the world who come to experience San Francisco by bike, riding across the Golden Gate Bridge and exploring the city’s landmarks. The team works hard but has a great time together, creating a positive and energetic environment every day. You’ll gain valuable customer service and communication experience while enjoying one of the most iconic workplaces in California.

Weekly working hours: avg. 32+h per week (possible overtime)

Start Date/End Date: June 1st – June 16th  until September 30th

Conditions: 

• Advanced English level is required;
• Must arrive on time and start working according to DS dates;
• Customer Service: Assist customers with bike rental procedures. Educate customers on product, complete paperwork, take payment, explain bike procedures. Give directions, answer questions and close the sale. Excellent communication skills required, and are comfortable speaking loudly to large groups of people. Upbeat, outgoing personality. Able to work under pressure, multitask, and switch priorities. Able to work independently as well as in a group. Must have the ability to stand for the entire shift. This is a VERY physical, fast-paced job, must have the stamina to last a 10-hour shift standing, walking, riding and lifting bikes. On some days, we rent out upwards of 1500 bikes per day. You must be very customer service focused and prepared for physical activity. Must be able to ride a bike/ $20 per hour
• Training provided;
• The employer provides a t-shirt. Must bring closed-toe athletic shoes and shorts or athletic pants that are in good condition;

Housing and Transportation:

• Accommodation must arrange own, will be given leads;
• rticipants can walk, take the bus, ride a bike, etc to get around.
