The Florida Aquarium – Tampa, FL

Tampa is a city on Tampa Bay, along Florida’s Gulf Coast. A major business center, it’s also known for its museums and other cultural offerings. Busch Gardens is an African-themed amusement park with thrill rides and animal-viewing areas. The historic Ybor City neighborhood, developed by Cuban and Spanish cigar factory workers at the turn of the 20th century, is a dining and nightlife destination.

Weekly working hours: avg. 32h per week

Start Date/End Date: June 1- June 25th  until  September 15th

Conditions: 

• Advanced English;
• Food Service Associate/Cashier **Social Security Required** – Food Service Associates’ duties include but are not limited to; cashier, busser, server, or cook. Cashiers are responsible for tendering payments, and handling money and credit card transactions. With this position, it is very important that you are comfortable with American currency. Bussers are responsible for clearing the tables off and ensuring that they have been properly cleaned and prepared for the next guest. Cooks are responsible for preparing or prepping food, knowledge of the menu, and ensuring that the food is cooked and its presentation is correct. Perform the steps of SSA EXTRA Guest Service to ensure a memorable experience for every guest and client. Supports restaurant prep (FOH and line) for daily operations. Meets daily quick service, food service, safety and quality, availability, merchandising and guest service standards. Participates in safety logs including food temperatures, rotation and waste as necessary. Ensures proper uniform, hygiene, hand-washing and glove use with self / $14.00 per hour + tip pool(shared tips)
• Everyone will be cross-trained for each position, and you will be placed based on the needs for that shift. Training may take up to two weeks;
• First set of the uniform- free For personal safety and to avoid injury if you drop sharp or hot objects on your footwear, participants should purchase a closed-toed, black, slip-resistant athletic shoe and long black pants/dickies with a belt loop.

Housing and Transportation:

• Must arrange own, leads will be given;
• You may have to rely on public transportation to get to and from work
