Company Description and Location: 

The Cliff House Resort and Spa is located in Cape Neddick, ME which is a heavily trafficked tourist area nestled between Ogunquit & York Maine. This is a luxurious resort that is situated on the cliffs of the ocean with several restaurants, banquet halls, and a spa. Cape Neddick is a beach resort area with many beach-related activities, tourist shops, and restaurants. 

Weekly working hours: avg. 32h per week

Start Date/End Date: June 1- June 25th until  September 30th

Conditions: 

  • Advanced English level is required;
  • Dishwasher: Participants must be flexible with completing tasks as necessary based on restaurant needs. Duties include but are not limited to cleaning dishes, kitchen, food preparation equipment & utensils. Restock food goods. Wash and mop kitchen floors. Take the trash out. You will be expected to work with hot water and cleaning chemicals on a daily basis. Please do not apply if you have any sensitivities to cleaning chemicals / $14.50 per hour
  • Recreation Attendant: This position is responsible for assisting and providing support to the recreation department by arranging, executing, and observing all indoor and outdoor activities and ensuring they are done in a safe manner. Using a creative assortment of methods, assist in the promotion of recreation operations and activities to internal and external sources. Provide recreation information to guests including, but not limited to, price, timing, and location. Record guest reservations in the appropriate log and assist in the preparation of activities. Secure payment method upon reservation or activity check-in. Assist in creating, participating, and implementing recreation programs. Ensure overall cleanliness and presentation of the spa, pool and hot tubs, fitness center, and locker rooms / $15.00 per hour
  • Busser: Specific responsibilities include –  Proactively support the restaurant team by clearing tableware, napkins, and refuse from tables. Ensure restaurant cleanliness by wiping down tables and chairs, and clearing debris from the floor and surrounding area. Deliver prompt service by resetting tables in a timely matter. Proactively support the restaurant team while monitoring dining room activity. Collaborate with team members to communicate any special needs or guest requests. Utilize the freedom to go beyond and take the initiative to resolve guest complaints and create loyalty / $7.00 + tips
  • Housekeeper: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the spa, pool(s), hot tub(s), men’s/women’s locker rooms. Ensure towels are replaced and removed for cleaning. Communicate with guests offering water, towels, or assistance. Ensure all carpeted areas are kept clean and free from debris. Ensure all hard floors are kept clean and well-maintained. Knowledgeable regarding equipment and chemicals. Understand hazard communications program. Respond to guest and management requests. Flexible with schedule to meet hotel needs. Ensure all spills are cleaned up immediately. Responsible for monitoring and reporting all maintenance-related problems /  $15.00 per hour
  • Spa Locker Attendant: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the spa, pool(s), hot tub(s), men’s/women’s locker rooms. Ensure towels are replaced and removed for cleaning. Communicate with guests offering water, towels, or assistance. Ensure all carpeted areas are kept clean and free from debris. Ensure all hard floors are kept clean and well maintained.   • Paid hourly training;
  • Uniforms including footwear will be determined by the employer and explained prior to arrival;

Housing and Transportation:

  • Housing assisted by employer, at a cost of $135.00 per student, per week. A deposit of $200 will be paid to the employer upon arrival. The deposit is refunded, if the house is left clean and without damages. Student must also be up to date with weekly rent Student will sign the housing contract after they arrive and settle into housing;
  • Employer provides transportation.
