Pay rate: $33.00 per hour
Location: Hay River and Fort Simpson, NT (remote locations)

Experience:
- 3-5 years experience with verifiable professional training. Significant heavy equipment maintenance, driving, ability to obtain Class 1 licensing.
- Completion of Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Certification (Interprovincial Red Seal )
- Valid driver’s license
- Supervisory experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good trouble shooting skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Willing to work outside in various weather conditions
- Physically fit with good manual dexterity, health, vision, hearing, and sense of smell to diagnose problems
- Reliable and dependable
- General knowledge of and following company safe work practices and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and take directions via two-way radio or by phone
- Willingness to work flexible hours, shifts & overtime
- Willingness to travel as required
Flexible hours are a must. There are significant workloads placed on the mechanics. English speaking, reading/writing comprehension. Ability to work in diverse environments, particularly with racialized groups who may be unsophisticated working with global cultures. The work expected will include outside duties, in cold weather.
