Weekly working hours: avg. 32 per week
Start Date/End Date: June 1st – 21st June until 30th September
Conditions:
- Advanced English;
- Shallow Water Lifeguard: The lifeguard position ensures the safety of pool and waterpark patrons and assists with aquatic programs and pool operations. Safeguards and regulates the conduct of pool and waterpark patrons. Enforces park policies, rules, and regulations. Rescues patrons and performs appropriate follow-up procedures, including the proper use of equipment in the performance of first aid. Responds quickly, intelligently, and decisively in accordance with established emergency and accident procedures. Must be alert and actively seek to prevent accidents and eliminate risk. Must administer CPR and first aid as appropriate per accident protocols. Provides written reports on all accidents. Maintains properly updated safety requirements. Provides customer service to patrons, including handling customer conflicts and complaints. Performs work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practices to the supervisor. Must communicate with patrons professionally and courteously to answer questions, resolve conflicts and enforce park policies and rules/ $18.00 per hour
- Zip Line Attendant: Safeguards and regulates the conduct of pool and waterpark patrons. Enforces park policies, rules, and regulations. Monitors patrons during use of park amenities. Supports the safe and orderly use of pool and park attractions such as slides and zip lines. Responds quickly, intelligently, and decisively in accordance with established emergency and accident procedures. Must be alert and actively seek to prevent accidents and eliminate risk. Provides customer service to patrons, including handling customer conflicts and complaints. Performs work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practices to the supervisor. Ensures park facilities are maintained to safety, cleanliness, and operational standards. Must communicate with patrons professionally and courteously to answer questions, resolve conflicts and enforce park policies and rules/ $16.00 per hour
- Participants should expect a minimum of 5 days of training. Training days may be added if the participant needs additional time to meet certification requirements. Swim 50 yards continuously. You may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both, but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used. Complete a timed event within 50 seconds: Starting in the water, swim 10 yards underwater using a front crawl or breaststroke. Submerge to a depth of 4 to 5 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object. Return to the surface and walk or swim 10 yards to return to the starting point with both hands holding the object at the surface of the water. Exit the water without using a ladder or steps;
- Uniform provided by the employer at a cost of $25. Paycheck deducted.
