Sea Drift Motel – Old Orchard Beach, ME

The Sea Drift Motel is a family owned business located across the street from the Beach. Students will work alongside a tight knit, knowledgeable staff. They will have the opportunity to work and live just steps away from Old Orchard Beach’s most popular attractions. Old Orchard Beach has been welcoming tourists and families to its beautiful 7-mile stretch of perfect sand beach for over 170 years. Families love all of the family-friendly activities and amusement parks including the veritable beachfront Palace Playland Park. There is nightly entertainment including dancing at the end of the Pier, plus weekly fireworks and concerts, world-class golf, fabulous fishing, whale watch tours, bird-watching and so much more. Old Orchard’s Pier is the center of the recreational offerings. Extending nearly 500 feet over the Atlantic Ocean, the Pier features shops, eateries, games of skill, and nightlife. Weekly working hours:  avg. 32 per week

Start Date/End Date: June 1st – 15th until  30th September

Conditions: 

• Advance English required;
• Housekeeping, Laundry Attendant and Groundskeeping –Your employer will assign one or more of the following three positions depending on business needs and individual skills/prior work experience. It is important to stay flexible!
• Housekeeping – Clean bathrooms, toilets & showers, changing linens, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning mirrors, windows, furniture, & emptying trash. Very physically demanding. Be prepared to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and push a 50lb/23kg cart all day;
• Laundry Attendant (Towels Only): Fast-paced position. Removing & sorting laundry, loading and unloading washers & dryers; folding & counting linen; restocking linens. Other tasks to be assigned by the supervisor;
• Groundskeeping: Provide lawn care; cut grass, remove debris, edge, seed, mulch. Use lawn care equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Maintain and repair lawn care equipment. Care for plants, flowers, trees, and bushes to include seasonal upkeep such as pruning, watering, removing weeds, etc;
• Paid hourly training;
• The employer will provide a t-shirt. Please bring close toed shoes, sneakers are fine. 

Housing and Transportation:

• Housing is assisted by the employer at a cost of  $100.00 weekly, per student. 
• Transportation: Walking – housing is provided on site.
