Rick’s Cafe – Naples, ME

We are located in the heart of the Naples waterfront community. We have the advantage of being in a beautiful area of Maine that sees a lot of summer traffic. There are a lot of chances to see and learn about Maine culture while still being close to Portland. There are a variety of activities that we have planned. There is shopping in Portland, as well as museums. North Conway is nearby as well as many hiking trails, there is the opportunity to rent a boat, jet ski, kayak, and more.

Weekly working hours: avg. 32h per week

Start Date/End Date: June 1- June 25th until  September 15th

Conditions: 

• Advanced English level is required;
• Back of House Support: The Kitchen Support personnel will start with our training program. We will work with them to train them on all our stations. We are revolutionizing the industry by introducing the opportunity to allow the Back of House to participate in the benefit of the tip pooling. They will be afforded the opportunity to start with the basics and work their way up expanding their knowledge, training, experience, and piece of the tips. Some of the participant’s responsibilities are ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic. Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately Sorting, storing, and distributing ingredients. Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare dishes as needed. Disposing of trash and cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen tools or areas. Other tasks may be assigned by management as needed.
• Paid hourly training;
• The uniform is not provided and participants are required to bring items below with them. Personalized Black Chef Coat, Long Black Pants, Apron, Sharpie, Thermometer, Black NonSlip Shoes;

Housing and Transportation:

• Housing assisted by employer, at a cost of $135 a week will be deducted which includes a $10 per week security deposit that is eligible for reimbursement at the end of the program upon check out once inspection is completed;
