Levy at Nationals Park – Washington D.C.

Washington, DC, the U.S. capital, is a compact city on the Potomac River, bordering the states of Maryland and Virginia. It’s defined by imposing neoclassical monuments and buildings –including the iconic ones that house the federal government’s 3 branches: the Capitol, White House, and Supreme Court. It’s also home to iconic museums and performing arts venues such as the Kennedy Center. There are so many cultures, histories, and activities for anyone and everyone to participate in.

Weekly working hours: avg. 32 per week

Start Date/End Date: June 1st – July 7th until 30th September

Conditions:

• Advanced English;
• Back of House Associate: will include Grill and Prep Cooks. You will be responsible for learning how to prepare, cook, and present menu items. You must learn safe cooking temperatures and food storage. Proper sanitation and cleaning must be practiced. You will also be required to prep all food needed day to day, and assist in keeping the line and kitchen stocked with all food and materials to ensure the kitchen runs functionally and smoothly throughout the shift/ $ 20.00 per hour 
• Catering Attendant & Host are responsible for delivering food to the dining room and Suites at the stadium. You will be asked to ensure food is presented correctly, food is maintained and logged, set up and break down, arranged buffet tables and other duties asked by Attendant Supervisor/ $ 20.00 per hour 
• Bartender: Duties include but are not limited to: learning the menu, being knowledgeable of menu items and specials, greeting customers, taking orders, putting in orders and food/drink delivery, preparing food/beverages, sidewalk, cleaning, assisting bartenders and servers/ $ 20.00 per hour 
• Training is required;
• T-shirt and hat provided. Please bring closed-toed, black, slip-resistant athletic shoes. You are also required to purchase black work pants (no leggings or jeans).

Housing and Transportation:

• Housing will be provided by the employer at a cost of  $800.00 per month, per student. A deposit of  $600.00 – $800.00 will be paid to the employer upon arrival. The deposit will be refundable as long as students stay until their contract end date and leave the housing in a clean, undamaged condition;
• Housing is within walking distance from the work site. You may also get a bicycle.
