Trainee & Internship Program

Compensation: $12 per hour

A small general practice law office seeks a hardworking and motivated real estate paralegal/legal assistant. The primary area of focus will be in real estate, with the opportunity to assist the attorneys in other practice areas including, but not limited to: Personal Injury, Estates, Civil and Criminal Litigation, and Landlord Tenant. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain real-life experience in a busy general practice firm. 

A successful candidate must have the following: 

  • Ability to multitask between files and work under pressure in a deadline-oriented field
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including courteously and professionally communicating with clients, lenders, realtors, attorneys, and other internal employees  
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently as well as directly with the attorneys, paralegal, and support staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients at all levels of interaction.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong academic credentials and two years of office experience is strongly preferred, but not required

To apply for the Internship program, applicants must be enrolled in graduate/postgraduate studies in Law studies OR be recent graduates who begin the program within 12 months of the graduation date 

To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must hold a degree in law and have at least 1 year of professional work experience related to the degree, OR be career professionals with 5 or more years of professional experience in this field

  •  FLUENT English is required (written and spoken)
  • Must be eager to learn, punctual, positive, honest, and meticulous.
