Weekly working hours: avg. 32h per week

Start Date/End Date: June 1st – June 27th until September 30th

Conditions: 

  • Advanced English level is required;
  • Team Member BOH: Working in a US restaurant is a dynamic and demanding environment. Back-of-house staff, including cooks, dishwashers, kitchen prep workers, and milkshake makers, collaborate closely to efficiently prepare and serve food. It is a high-pressure atmosphere, especially during busy periods, making it fast-paced and demanding. Attention to detail is crucial as staff strictly adhere to specific recipes and safety standards. The role involves physical demands, such as prolonged standing, heavy lifting, and exposure to hot kitchens and cold freezers. Common hazards include sharp knives, boiling liquids, and hot surfaces. Regular cleaning, including toilets, is a significant part of the job. At Johnny Rockets, there’s an added element where you have to stop what you are doing and dance. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for smooth operations. Irregular working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, are a requirement. The fast-paced nature can be stressful, it is important to maintain professionalism when interacting with difficult customers. Restaurant managers are demanding as they are responsible for ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly/ $15.13 per hour
  • Discount on Meals;
  • Johnny Rockets provides a hat, T-shirt, and apron, with the first set being free. Participants will be charged for replacing any lost items. Employees are expected to wear black pants and black, non-skid, closed-toe shoes. Solid black belts and white socks are also required as part of the dress code;

Housing and Transportation:

  • Housing must be arranged on your own. Leads will be given;
  • Transportation: by walking or by bike.
