Weekly working hours: avg. 32 per week

Start Date/End Date: June 1st – 17th June until 30th September

Conditions:

  • Advanced English;
  • Admissions: Must be comfortable with handling American currency, have good customer service skills, and advanced English. Also, have to complete hands-on training and pass the written exam. Testing of the skillset will apply. Admissions are responsible for all admissions transactions and up-sell promotions in a fast-paced environment. Will handle and process all cash and credit card transactions while identifying and communicating the correct and proper admissions for each attraction / $14.00
  • Food and Beverage: As a Food and Beverage host, your responsibilities are to greet guests, visitors, and employees in a friendly and courteous manner. Take orders, help fill orders, and check all orders for accuracy. Maintain adequate inventory in the food stands. Operate the Touch Screen Point of Sale system (POS) for food and beverage purchases. Understand the Park menu and pricing. Receiving payment for selected items and return change as necessary. Account for daily receipts and properly secure per company policies. Ensure timely and accurate processing of operations receipts and maintain proper security measures over receipts, records, and cash. Assist with the prep of food orders and the delivery of food and beverage orders to guest areas. Ensure an adequate supply of condiments is available for guests. Adhere to DHEC and ServSafe requirements for food preparation and storage of food and supplies. Follow proper sanitation standards to keep a clean orderly work area and assist with the inventory. Food and Beverage Cook’s responsibilities are preparing food for sale while maintaining DHEC and ServSafe requirements for cleaning the food service areas. Learn menu and correct portion sizes, follow proper sanitation standards to keep a clean orderly work area, and stores food properly and safely. Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor. Completes food temperature checks before serving. Cleaning food and beverage areas are not to exclude: emptying trash, washing dishes, and cleaning food court tables and surrounding areas /$14.00
  • Park Services Host  **Outdoor Position**: Park Services Hosts are responsible for sweeping and picking up trash and debris from park areas and parking lots. Empty and clean trash cans; replace trash liners. Clean all areas of the restroom, guest areas, and back of the house. Wash windows and clean windows daily. Follow restroom schedules to ensure the cleanliness of facilities. Greet guests, visitors, and employees in a friendly and courteous manner. Keep a clean orderly work area. You will also be responsible for vacuuming designated areas /$14.00 per hour
  • Tracks/Pit Crew/Ride Attendant

Track/Pit Crew are responsible for starting the engines with the pull crank, loading/unloading, collecting proper admissions, checking for customer height, operating all safety and operational equipment, ensuring proper seatbelt use, cleaning the karts and areas including pit and queue lines, or as directed, gassing karts/ $14.00 per hour 

Ride Attendants are responsible for the proper and safe operations of the mechanical Kiddie Rides and Bumper Cars, including proper loading/unloading. You must enforce proper age and height restrictions, proper access control, and safety rules in a fast-paced environment. Must be able and willing to run to a spinout and clear while following safety guidelines and practices. Must always be able to be on their feet and constantly moving in a hot and humid environment requiring different levels of exertion and repetition at certain times, while maintaining the proper safety procedure for themselves and the guests. Will be cross-trained too and must also be able to perform duties of ride attendant/ $14.00 per hour

  • Team Members will be provided a special discounted menu from the park’s Café. Team Members can pick from select combos for a price of $6.00 including a drink;
  • Must complete a hands-on training and written exam during 1st week of training;
  • Myrtle Waves Uniform hat, 4 shirts, and nametags will be provided at a cost of $80. Please bring Black athletic sneakers, black ankle socks, and black belt are required for every position. Please bring black athletic sneakers and black ankle socks required for every position;

Housing and Transportation:

  • Housing assisted by the employer, for $165.00 per week.  A deposit of  $300 will be paid to the landlord according to the housing agreement. As long as the property is clean and damage-free, you will receive your deposit back at the end of your agreement, within 30 days, minus a $25 cleaning fee. If you are terminated from your job, break your contract, or evicted from housing, you forfeit your deposit;
  • Transportation –  Typical route taken by walking or biking approx. 5-15 mins.
