• Broadway Ticket Agent: This role as a Broadway Ticket Agent requires an outgoing, extroverted personality and a readiness to succeed in a high-pressure, competitive sales environment. Selling tickets on the street is at the core of this job, and your ability to connect with potential customers is essential to both your success and the business’s performance. If your main goal is simply to be in New York and you’re not ready for a fast-paced, high-stakes sales environment, this position may not be a good fit. You must be self-motivated, resilient, and able to handle rejection, as you will be engaging with passersby who may ignore you or decline to engage. In this role, you’ll spend your day actively approaching potential customers, informing them about shows, seating options, and pricing, and using effective communication skills to build rapport and close sales. Sales targets will start smaller to allow for skill development but will increase as you gain experience, so adaptability and perseverance are key, especially in the beginning when goals may feel challenging. Using provided technology, you’ll process transactions efficiently, ensuring each customer feels confident and well-informed. This role also requires teamwork, as all tips are pooled and shared among the Broadway Pass team. Physical stamina is critical, as you’ll spend long hours on your feet, often outdoors in Midtown Manhattan’s busy streets in hot, humid, and sometimes rainy weather, handling tasks that require standing, walking, and carrying promotional materials. This is a demanding job that offers invaluable experience in a high-energy, sales-focused setting for those prepared to take it on/ $15.00 per hour (Tips are pooled and shared between ticket agents and supporting staff; however, the tip amount may vary daily based on sales performance and attendance)
